Energy Assessment Ramboll Environ advises commercial, retail and industrial clients on energy efficiency strategies in their facilities, and conducts energy audits for efficiency improvements for all types of buildings, covering HVAC, lighting systems and renewable energy strategies. We evaluate opportunities with an eye toward engineering feasibility and energy cost impacts. Boiler MACT Energy Assessment Does your facility fall under the Clean Air Act regulatory requirements as a major source of hazardous air pollutants? If so, regulations pertinent to affected boilers and process heaters require an energy assessment to be completed by January 31, 2016. Ramboll Environ's qualified energy assessors have the expertise to help you address the specific elements required in the assessment, helping to identify cost-effective energy conservation measures. Building Certification An important step for many building owners and managers is certifying their building's sustainability using widely accepted and well-known standards, such as LEED or Energy Star. In support of LEED certification and Energy Star ratings, we assist clients with: • pre-assessment of existing buildings or new building designs to determine potential LEED certification level

We analyze the cost implications of potential federal and state carbon regulations, which provide a baseline against which planned reduction actions can be compared. Our senior staff has also been at the forefront of climate adaptation planning for utilities, counties and states and has essential insights on the longer-term implications of temperature increases, precipitation pattern changes and sea-level rise. GHG Inventories Ramboll Environ has extensive experience in emission inventory development, including the estimation of comprehensive bottom-up emission inventories for organizations and industries. Our work has included the

development of emission factor models, evaluation of emission inventories for regional and urban-scale air quality studies, and development and peer review of emissions estimation and emissions processing computer models. SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE Retail: Assisted a major retailer in attaining three-to-five percent annual savings over an eightyear period, with savings of greater than $50 million through setting goals and implementing improvements. Leading Beverage Manufacturer: Assisted the client with energy goal setting. Identified 13 percent energy savings and 33 percent energy cost savings across several facilities. Major Industrial Facilities: Helped the client achieve more than 10 percent cost savings, and suggested leveraging existing infrastructure without capital investments. Hospitality: Recommended kWh reduction measures and load shedding/shifting, custom tariff advice. This resulted in an average annual savings of 12 percent. Port of Portland: Developed an energy and carbon master plan, addressing procurement, generation and use, as well as strategy and planning. The plan—completed primarily through facility assessments— outlined a path for a 44 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
