Like  Life   “3-Authenticity”       The  more  filtered  our  lives  become,  the  harder  it  is  for  others  to  really  see  us.     ______________________________________     People  are  starting  to  fear  and  avoid  unfiltered  communication.   ______________________________________     2  Corinthians  3:13   We  are  not  like  Moses,  who  would  put  a  veil  over  his  face  to  prevent     the  Israelites  from  seeing  the  end  of  what  was  passing  away.   ______________________________________     Vs.14-15   “But  their  minds  were  made  dull,  for  to  this  day,  the  same  veil  remains  when  the  old   covenant  is  read.  It  has  not  been  removed,  because  only  in  Christ  is  it  taken  away.     Even  to  this  day  when  Moses  is  read,  a  veil  covers  their  hearts.”   ______________________________________     2  Corinthians  4:4   “The  god  of  this  age  has  blinded  the  minds  of  unbelievers,  so  that  they  cannot  see  the   light  of  the  gospel  that  displays  the  glory  of  Christ,  who  is  the  image  of  God.”   ______________________________________     2  Corinthians  3:16-18   “But  whenever  anyone  turns  to  the  Lord,  the  veil  is  taken  away.  Now  the  Lord  is  the   Spirit,  and  where  the  Spirit  of  the  Lord  is,  there  is  freedom.  And  we  all,  who  with  unveiled   faces  contemplate  the  Lord’s  glory,  are  being  transformed  into  his  image  with  ever- increasing  glory,  which  comes  from  the  Lord,  who  is  the  Spirit.”   ______________________________________     In  a  veiled  world  Christians  are  called  to  Unveiled  living.   ______________________________________     Only  Christ  can  take  the  veil  away.   ______________________________________     What  veil  are  you  wearing?   ______________________________________     Everything  that  we  say  must  be  true,  but  everything     true  does  not  have  to  be  shared  on  social  media.       ______________________________________

Vs.15   “Even  to  this  day  when  Moses  is  read  a  veil  covers  their  hearts.”   ______________________________________

A  veil  that  first  covers  the  face,  eventually,  will  cover  the  heart.   What  started  out  as  a  covering  became  a  spiritual  condition.   ______________________________________     We  may  impress  people  with  our  strengths,     but  we  connect  with  them  through  our  weaknesses.   ______________________________________     Here’s  some  suggestions   Be  yourself.   Social  media  break.   Don’t  use  filters.   ______________________________________     Vs.  16    “Whenever  anyone  turns  to  the  Lord,  the  veil  is  taken  away.”   ______________________________________     My  identity  is  not  in  your  likes  but  in  God’s  love.   ______________________________________     When  I  realize  He  is  all  that  I  have,  suddenly  I  realize  He  is  all  I  need.   ______________________________________     No  matter  who  is  following  me,  I’m  focused  on  following  Him   ______________________________________     Vs.  17     “Where  the  Spirit  of  the  Lord  is  there  is  freedom.”     ______________________________________     18   And  we  all,  who  with  unveiled  faces  contemplate  the  Lord’s  glory,     are  being  transformed  into  his  image  with  ever-increasing  glory,     which  comes  from  the  Lord,  who  is  the  Spirit.   ______________________________________
