Today, our worship service looks a little different than most Sundays. As we look forward to a time of revival emphasis scheduled for March 23-25 and 27, we have designed this service specifically to help us pray for and prepare for our revival. Included in our service this morning is a time of receiving the Lord’s Supper. Jesus said that as often as we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. I invite you back tonight for a most unique time. Our 6:00 p.m. service tonight is part of our Nehemiah Experience—a continuous read through the Bible. We encourage you to come tonight. We do need you to enter and exit quietly and remain silent while in the Sanctuary. The Bible will be continuously read from 1 p.m. today through about noon on Wednesday.

Sermon Notes

Preparing for Revival Through Prayer and Repentance Hosea 6:1-6 Prayer Time for Our One How Can I pray? L—We must pray that the person realizes that he/she is lost. O—Pray that other believers would build relationships, witness, and come into contact with the one for whom we are praying. S—Pray that the person will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. T—Pray that the person’s life will be transformed by the Gospel after salvation.

Prayer for our Revival Leaders Brad Jurkovich, Fred Luter, Wayne Jenkins, Steve Horn, This Hope—How do we pray for these? Among many ways, let’s pray Malachi 2:6—“True instruction was in his mouth, and nothing wrong was found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and fairness and turned many from sin.”

Preparation through Repentance Revival is not an _____________________ _____________________. Revival requires ______________ and _______________ _________________. Revival is not possible without ___________________. God _______________.

Last, our seminar for new members and interested members meets this afternoon from 5:307:30 in Room D101. We call it First Look. This fast-paced seminar helps new members and prospective members to understand our church’s history, distinctive beliefs, and ministry opportunities.
