We are so pleased that you have decided to allow us to care for your child. We have planned all kinds of fun, age-appropriate activities that will encourage physical, social, mental, and spiritual growth. Listed below is some information that will help you prepare your child for camp. Don’t hesitate to call us at 909.867.7037.

NEEDS: Please have your child bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, personal care items, a swimsuit (1-piece for girls), along with comfortable casual clothes and shoes. A sweatshirt or jacket is highly recommended. Your student will have access to our camp store. Various items such as team t-shirts, hats, camp video, snacks, toiletries, etc will be for sale. We try to keep our gift shop prices affordable. Prices range from $1.00 to $35.00. There will be a team t-shirt available to purchase for $10 and a pizza party on Thursday night. Pizza is $15 per pizza (includes drinks).

ACTIVITIES: Activities are included with the camp fees. Team recreation is a big part of the fun here at Camp Pondo. Students will also have some free time each afternoon to do whatever activity appeals to them at the time. Swimming, paint ball, basketball, giant slide, zip-line, tree climbing, giant swing, archery, hiking, mountain biking, bouldering room & skate boarding are some of the activities from which to choose. Our Arts Garage will also be open all week long. The program staff also will host our annual Tuesday night dance party event… students may dress up for this year’s theme. Your leader will announce the theme.

• EMAIL – Email your child at [email protected]. Include your child’s first and last name and the church that your child is attending camp with on the subject line. We will print the email out and deliver it to your child at meal times. We cannot accept attachments, so just send a simple note through email. Your child does not have access to a computer so they cannot email you back or view animated greetings. Please be aware, we provide this service as a fun way to send your love. We will not be held responsible for emails not received. If there is a message that is urgent, please call the office to have a note hand delivered to your child.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: • MEDICAL FORM: Please provide your group leader a signed, completed Registration/Medical form. Attach additional pages if you feel it is necessary. This information is invaluable if an emergency occurs. We prefer that you wait until just before camp to complete the form. Medical needs change & we want the latest info. See your leader for the form. Please do not send sick campers. If your camper has a fever upon arrival, he or she will be sent home immediately. • MEDICATIONS: Please separately pack any medication that your child takes and deliver it to your church leaders so that they may turn the medications into the infirmary upon arrival. Please send the original container with your child’s name clearly marked on the package. You do not need to send over the counter medications such as Tylenol, Advil, Sudafed, etc. We keep a well-stocked infirmary and we can “patch-up” most scrapes, bruises, headaches, and stomachaches. If your child brings ANY medication or vitamins, it must be turned into the infirmary. The health code mandates that no medications be left unattended in the cabins. • INJURY OR ILLNESS: If injuries or illnesses occur, a first aid certified staff member will tend to your child. If a major illness or injury occurs, 911 will be called immediately and the child will be transported to the hospital. Emergency personnel have approximately a five-minute response time to our facility. You will be contacted as soon as possible.
