Outcome Participants will have an understanding of what tools and resources are available for communicating and supporting parents of children with sensory needs.

Objectives • Participants will discuss current theories on sensory integration. • Participants will have an understanding of family impact. • Participants will examine resources.

What is Sensory Integration? • The cognitive capacity to extract information from the senses of hearing, vision, taste, smell, touch, and motion, and associate that information with prior memories, experiences, and knowledge already in the mind.
