Big Idea
“Romans 8:39 ‐ ‘Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.’”
God is always with us.
Summary The Prophets
Thousands of years ago, people didn’t have the Bible to tell them what God wanted them to know. Instead, he sent messages through people called prophets. Sometimes being a prophet was great, but other times, people didn’t want to listen to what God had to say. Many of the prophets were hurt or made fun of, but that didn’t stop them. They knew that what God said was true, and that he was always with them. Materials Needed None Introductions and Snack

Circle Up: Alright Kid‐Os! Let’s get into a circle and on the count of 3, we’ll shout “Kid‐O‐Deo” and sit down. Ready? 1, 2, 3…KID‐O‐DEO! Prayer: Let’s talk to God before we have our snack. Dear God, we love you. Thank you for this snack. Amen. Do This: Give each Kid‐O some hand sanitizer and a snack. Introductions: Now let’s all go around and say our names!
Activity and Questions

Know This: The goal of this game is to help Kid‐Os get to know each other in a fun way. Stand Up If: We’re going to play a game now to help us get to know each other a little better! When I say something that is true for you, I want you to stand up! Do This: Read the following. Draw Kid‐Os’ attention to others who stand up with them. Feel free to make up your own attribute statements if you’d like.
You ate cereal today You have a cat You have an “A” in your name You have a sister You can ride a bike You have an “E” in your name
Your birthday is in March You have a fish You like ice cream You have a brother You like to read You have ridden in a bus
You have been on an airplane You have been coming to Kid‐O‐Deo for a long time You like to swim You like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
Lesson Questions: I have some more questions for you. Isaiah was a prophet. What does that mean? (He would give people messages from God.) What was wrong in Isaiah’s nation? (People were doing wrong things like stealing and disobeying God.) What did Isaiah tell the people? (That they could have hope. God would bless them!) What is something that you hope for?

Do This: Practice the Big Idea and Memory Verse in your quiet, medium, and big voices. Feel free to come up with your own voices as well! Make sure you get a sticker when you leave, and don’t forget to show it to your grown‐ups! Let’s talk to God one more time before we go. You can repeat this prayer after me if you would like. Dear God, we love you. Thank you for loving us. Help us to be kind, good, and gentle. Amen.
