1. Brief: In 1-2 sentences, briefly describe what core values, what you care about, a mission statement, slogans etc. When applied correctly, this information will be used to make your business feel more relatable and customer focused. 2. Year of establishment: How long has your business been operating? The longer its been around, the better. With up to 50% of companies failing in the first year, people feel more comfortable knowing that you've been around for a long time. So, if you’ve been operating for a few years, it’s good to highlight this information. 3. Contact: Think about what contact information you’d like on the website. At least one phone number and email address are a must! But to help make you appear more of an authority you should add a physical address, work & mobile number, opening hours and google maps. The more points of contact, the better :) 4. Awards, Praise, Notoriety: If you’re a new business owner, you may not have some of these yet but think hard and dig deep to come up with anything that helps establish you as a credible and experienced practitioner of your company. Think of things like awards you or your business have won or been mentioned positively in a news article (both online and physical)

Clients: It’s important to understand your customer base so your website can talk directly to their interests and desired outcomes. So ask yourself, who are your target customers? Are you selling to other businesses or selling direct to customers? What are their demographic information, e.g. age, location, lifestyle or interests? Once you have this information, it can be used to create more compelling text. If you’ve created the right copy, it will make your clients feel that they’re in the right place. If you’re not comfortable with writing the copy, ICRAFT can do that for you.

6.

Services: Are you or your business providing services? If you’re instead selling products skip to the Products Tip. Depending on what services you have to offer there are different ways to present them. It's also important to highlight you’re most profitable services and give them a lot of attention. So make sure you know that they are, if not - ICRAFT can help with that.

7.

Projects: If you’ve been in business for a while then you’re bound to have completed some projects that you look back with beaming pride. If you like them, then chances are that new clients or customers will want them too. It can be beneficial to highlight these to give customers examples of your best work. These projects will showcase your capabilities to the customer and give them a sense of security in your services.

8. Products: If your business is focused on selling products, you’re going to need an ecommerce solution. These are more costly and take more time than a service based website because it has to handle things like payments, shipping, carts, and logins. Also, the more products you have, the more it will cost. There are lots of things that can be done to help reduce common problems like cart-abandonment and refund confusion. 9. Testimonials: These are great! Testimonials are one powerful tool in helping customers or clients feel more comfortable with your business. Make sure you get permission first but ask any past or future clients or customers for any feedback they might have so you can showcase their shining words of your business. 10. Partners: If your business is associated with any other companies that you’d like to display, praise or actively work with its great to include them on your website too. Mentioning partners helps make you look like more of an authority and can also improve your Google search ranking score. On top of that - they might get a few extra customers or clients through your website too ;) Its a win-win. 11. Point of Difference: This is a big one! What makes you stand out? Why should customers or clients use you over your competitors? This needs to be highlighted and not to the detriment of your competitors. Leave them out of it. It’s all about you and why your business is some of the best damn business out there.

Charities, Sponsorships: Is your business an active member of the community? Has it donated or is actively donating to a charity or is sponsoring a local sport, club, team or company? If so, this can be displayed to showcase some of the community involvement that the business is proud to be a part of. Displaying this can also benefit search results by having links to the charities and sponsorships. 15. Media: It’s always good to have a big stack of high-resolution images or videos of your business, its products, toys, projects or its team.
