2018 Business After Hours Agreement The Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present our Business After Hours (BAH) program in collaboration with Chamber Ambassadors and Chamber member sponsors. Business After Hours • Opportunity for Chamber members to connect in a social setting, increasing their professional network in the business community. • Allows Chamber member sponsor(s) to showcase their programs, services and products • Members encouraged to promote their businesses through door prize donations • Held the third Monday of each month, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. • Admission fee of $5 for members and $7 for non-members

Business After Hours Sponsorship Eligibility Chamber members, whose accounts are current, at application and time of event are allowed the opportunity to sponsor (co-sponsor) one BAH per year. • Sponsors include: host(s), venue, caterers, etc. For a list of current members, please contact the Chamber at www.menomoniechamber.org or call 715-235-9087. • Primary sponsors may combine efforts to co-sponsor a Business After Hours with other Chamber members ° Primary Sponsor/Applicant secures co-sponsors in advance of application; all sponsoring businesses should be listed on the same application. ° One sponsor should be designated as the Primary Sponsor to act as main contact for the program. It is the responsibility of the Primary Sponsor to be in communication with the co-sponsors and work out the financial responsibilities among sponsors. ° A maximum of four members may co-sponsor a monthly program, unless otherwise approved by the Chamber CEO. The selection of sponsors will take place each fall • Application deadline is Friday, November 3rd, 2017 • 2018 calendar will be finalized and published in December • Applicants not selected will be placed on a waiting list in the event there is a cancellation. If the member does not host during 2018, the application may be carried forward for 2019.

Planning Refreshments/Venue: It is the responsibility of the primary sponsor to provide food and refreshments, obtaining liquor license as appropriate. To avoid any issues consider co-sponsoring the event with a Chamber member who is licensed. • Beverages may be sold for a fee, to be determined at sponsors’ discretion. • It is recommended that Business After Hours be held at a place that can accommodate a minimum of 50 people and have ample parking. • The hosting venue should have a liquor license and licensed bartender if fermented malt beverages are to be served/sold. Marketing: The Chamber will promote the upcoming Business After Hours. The primary sponsor is responsible for providing promotional details of Business After Hours to the Chamber ([email protected] ) one month prior to the event. A standard template will be used, all materials promoting Business After Hours is to use the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce logo.

Day Of/Set Up/Representation Sponsor: • Provide two 6 or 8 foot tables at the room/facility entrance to be used for admission. Limit the number of tables/chairs for attendees to encourage moving freely through venue. • Microphone and public address system. Let the Chamber office know if you cannot provide a sound system. • Are invited to have business literature, business cards, or a display of products/services available. This information can be featured at a separate table not to be combined with the two tables referenced above. • Allowed to present (verbally, PowerPoint, etc.) what products and services they provide. • Encouraged to provide representatives from their business to greet people. Chamber Ambassadors: • Handle admissions; greet people and collect money • Encourage social interactions between attendees • Conduct door prize giveaway Chamber: • Provide name tags, pens, starter cash and a Business After Hours sign with admission amounts • Provide structured outline of announcements for CEO, Ambassador Chair Chamber Ambassadors and staff are available to assist you as you plan your Business After Hours. Exceptions to the above schedule need to be approved in writing by the CEO.
