Surrender Your Trust Lesson 4 • Proverbs 3:5-6

Now more than ever the future is uncertain! To move forward, we need to surrender our trust to the Lord.

God’s Wisdom on How to Surrender Your Trust

1. Trusting Is More Than BELIEVING. “Trust...”

➤ Trust is ESSENTIAL to the surrendered life and stepping into an uncertain future.

➤ The difference between believing and trusting is LEANING.

Trust is a LIFELONG CHALLENGE that grows with constant use.

2. Trusting Requires the RIGHT OBJECT. “...in the Lord...”

➤ The OBJECT of your trust is always more important than the amount of your trust.

➤ The LORD is the only One who is timelessly TRUST-WORTHY. Read Exodus 3 and 6

The OBJECT of your trust is ALWAYS more important than the AMOUNT of your trust. “Who among you fears the LORD and listens to His servant? Who among you walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD; let him lean on his God.” Isaiah 50:10 “The NAME of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous person runs into it and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10

3. Trusting Is a State of the HEART. “...with all your heart...”

Trust is BUILT as LOVE grows and develops.

4. Trusting Lets Nothing Replace GOD’S WISDOM. “...and lean not on your own understanding;”

Godless wisdom produces WORRY instead of TRUST.

5. Trusting Calls for TOTAL SURRENDER. “...acknowledge Him...”

Trusting INVITES King Jesus to EVERYTHING.

6. Trusting Applies to Your ENTIRE LIFE. “...in all your ways...”

Trusting is essential to ALL ASPECTS of life.

7. Trusting Is Wisdom’s Path to SUCCESS in God’s Eyes. “…and He will make your paths straight.”

The LORD Promises to Make Your Life…

Morally Straight. The Lord will enable you to live in a manner that pleases Him!

Increasingly Smooth. The Lord will enable you to live in a manner that fulfills His purpose for your life!

Eternally Successful. The Lord will enable you to live in a manner that is an eternal success from God’s perspective!

Surrender your trust to experience GOD’S BEST in this life and the one to come! “And without faith [TRUST] it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

“I Trust You, LORD, Anytime, Anywhere, Any Cost! Amen.” Now Let’s Move Forward with the LORD into an Uncertain Future!
