Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1-13 Elder Dr. Gresham Bayne Page 119 in the pew Bible Prayer of Confession (in unison, followed by silent prayer) Gracious and Loving God, We confess with confidence because Your spirit speaks to us in a language we can understand. We give You thanks for that clarity. But we must confess that we have only learned one spiritual language. We only speak of Your goodness in one way and many don’t understand what we’re saying. We don’t believe You’ll give us the words. We refuse to learn new tongues or engage in new conversations. Forgive us when we limit the way You are communicated by only speaking to ourselves. Fill our mouths with new spiritual languages so that anyone can hear and know Your grace. (silent prayer) Amen.
