2017 Elk Rapids Area Arts and Crafts Shows 10:00-4:00PM River Street The Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to submit this application for our 2017 Arts and Crafts Shows. Your exhibit space will be 12' X 12'. All exhibitors are responsible for providing their own display equipment and weather protection. Please plan to anchor your exhibit without stakes. Please bring weights, it can be windy on the water. If electricity is required you must bring an extension cord with a GFCI. As always, artists and craftsmen must be in attendance and able to show their own work. Please enclose or email 3 photos of your work (one must be of your work in progress) and a selfaddressed stamped envelope for the return of the photos. A non-refundable fee must accompany your application. *In the event that your application is not accepted, your fee will be returned.* Each accepted application will receive written confirmation or e-mail with space number and set-up time assignment. If a required set-up time is not provided, an early set-up time will be assigned. GUIDELINES for 2017 ELK RAPIDS ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
1. All works must be created by the exhibiting artist. 2. Artist must be present during all hours of the show. Agents for the artist are not acceptable. 3. Exhibitors are responsible for payment of their own State and Federal taxes. 4. Your application is considered a commitment to show your work if you are accepted. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR CANCELLATION BY THE ARTIST AFTER THE APPLICATION AND FEES HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED. 5. No refund will be made for inclement weather or other acts of God over which the sponsors have no control, and the risk of loss from such an event will all be borne by the exhibitor. This is an outdoor show held on a paved surface. 6. No rain date. 7. Application must be received no later than March 1, 2017 to receive early registration discount of $85.00/show. 8. Artist must register for all three shows with first application in order to receive season discount of $255.00 for all three shows. (Otherwise $100.00 per show.) 9. APPLICATION DEADLINES: May 12th for May 27th, July 7th for July 22rd, Aug.10th for Sept. 2 10. Set up will begin on or after 7:00am on the day of the show. Please do not show up prior. Directions will be given for loading and unloading. All vehicles must then be quickly moved to nearby parking areas to allow for expediting the unloading process. 11. Please remember, once the show begins, vehicles will not be permitted to enter the area where artist booths are erected. 12. Artists may not tear down before 4:00pm. Any artist tearing down early will not be invited back and will not receive a refund. 13. Vehicles will not be allowed on to the street until 4:00pm. Artists must obtain an authorized loading permit to re-enter the show area with their vehicle in order to load.
