A Friendly Greeting and Request from Bethel’s Finance Director: Help! Our bank is returning what they consider to be “unacceptable checks.” We are therefore asking you to PLEASE refrain from using hot pink, lime green, lavender, bright yellow, bright blue or red ink, pencil, markers, Sharpies or even crayons to write your checks and offering envelopes. (We are not kidding - we have actually received envelopes and checks written with everything written above.) The bank is no longer accepting them. Please write your checks using either blue or black INKPENS, ONLY. Also, if your check amount, either the written amount, or the amount in the numeric box, is crossed out and written over (even if you initial it) the bank will no longer accept these checks, either. We are asking that you please only use blue or black inkpens on your offering envelopes, too...and speaking of envelopes…..if you are going to put an empty offering envelope in the bucket, we ask that you please refrain from writing on it or sealing it. Once it is written on and sealed, it cannot be used again. We have to be good stewards of God’s resources.
