Bob and Pat met at Moody and later went on to ISU, where they attended Grace, were married, and had their first child. They joined TEAM and went to Venezuela in 1971, serving in a support role for missionary families at Christiansen Academy. Bob served as director of the school as well as treasurer for the field. He taught a full load of classes, preached in local Spanish churches, and served on Field Council. Pat mentored high school girls, taught classes daily, and led Bible studies for various women’s community groups. In 1986, the Wrights returned to the US to care for Pat’s father in MI. After his passing, they went to TEAM’s international headquarters in Wheaton where Bob had “too many roles to list!” Pat and Bob did EXPLORE workshops for potential missionary candidates. Bob was the Appointee Adviser, and Pat was the Application Coordinator before they recently retired. They still travel to Czech Republic and Austria each year to do pastoral care with members of TEAM. Bob now serves in their church mentoring youth, and is a member of the Mission Commission. He also does missions consulting. Pat teaches a workshop on discovering your gifts, and among other things, is a church librarian.
