Bookkeeping Assistant Job Description

Overview The Bookkeeping Assistant supports the ministry and integrity of North Ridge Church by providing clerical support to the elected Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, including weekly management of income, expense, payroll, and donor records. The Bookkeeping Assistant is amenable to the Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Governing Board of North Ridge Church. Performance will be evaluated annually. It is estimated that the responsibilities of Bookkeeping Assistant will require approximately 5-7 hours per week, or 20-24 hours per month. Specific working hours are flexible, with the exception of a weekly office session of at least 1 hour, to be arranged with the office staff. $300-$400 contract compensation per month, TBD based on qualifications & specific duties distributed among Bookkeeper, Treasurer, & Assistant Treasurer.

Process accounts payable in a timely manner and track automatic withdrawals Process reimbursement requests and other check writing as necessary Administer payroll Prepare trial stage balance & income/expense sheets for Treasurer’s reports Assist in preparation of annual report and general operating budget
