The Conversation Guide is a great tool for individuals, families, discipleship groups and Missional Communities to take a deeper, more personal dive into the content of the current sermon series. The Conversation Guide will be posted every Friday in the News & Blog section of our website. We encourage you to use it this week on your own, around your dinner tables, over coffee with your friends or in your Bible studies! *QUESTIONS FOR KIDS! Questions most suitable for children are marked with an asterisk.

Conversation Questions 1. *Have you ever been a part of a team or a group that you just loved being with? What made that group so special?

2. *Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. What verse or phrase stands out to you most? Why?

3. Paul uses the pictures of “baptism” and “drinking” to describe life in the Spirit (v.13). What do you think he wants us to know about life in the Spirit?

4. What do you think Paul’s point is in verses 14-21? Have you ever seen this dynamic at work in the church?

5. Paul uses “presentable” (seen) and “unpresentable,” (unseen) “weak” and “honorable” body parts as a metaphor for people in the body of Christ. What do you think are examples of “presentable” (seen), “unpresentable” (unseen), “weak” and “honorable” parts in the body of Christ?

6. How do you think all of these different parts of the church can demonstrate “the same care for one another” (v.25)? Give examples.

“Earnestly desire” (v.31) implies that Christians can and should ask for additional spiritual gifts. The “higher gifts” means those gifts that do more to build up the church body. What spiritual gifts does your church or Small Group need right now? Take some time to ask God to give those gifts.
