This All-Church Study Begins Right after Easter! Follow the Donovan family as their faith walk is challenged by neighbors and friends. Look for the Sign up board on the back wall of the commons this Sunday! You can join an existing group, follow the study during the 9:30 Sunday School Hour, or start a group of your own. MONDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY - “Journey from Unbelief,” a Lutheran Hour Ministry DVD based study that takes to the streets the question: Is Peace Possible? Meets with Laura Gilleland on Monday mornings, 7:50-9am in the Library. BOOK OF DANIEL BIBLE STUDY - Meets every other Monday evening at 6:30 pm in the Art Room. Next class is Monday, March 14. ILS PRAYER MINISTRY UPDATE — Looking for a place to pray with others about the issues facing our church and world? WePRAY meets, on Wednesdays at 8:30am in the Conference Room. This week we prayed for the Connection Card prayer concerns and the Chapel Prayer concerns of the students. This week we prayed for Myrna Metz in the recent loss of her husband, George. We prayed for Lindsey with the loss of her mom, Anita. We also prayed for the health concerns for Hannah Ayares, Trey, McKai, and Sophia. We prayed for the Women’s Retreat and those who signed up to attend. We prayed for Pastor Tieman and the Lenten services. We prayed for Jan Smith with the recent loss of her sister, Myrna, and for safe travels as heads to St. Louis. Lastly, we prayed for all those members of our congregation that are suffering from cancer.

EASTER BREAKFAST BETWEEN SERVICES This year, we will setup in the Commons area with high-top tables and a festive atmosphere for connecting. Morning drinks & fresh fruit will be provided. SUPPLIES REQUESTED: Empty gift wrap tubes and brown paper bags "THE SKINFLINT OF SCHICKSHINNEY" The FLHS drama department invites you to the performance of our spring play “ The Skinflint of Shickshinney” by Thomas Hischak. The play tells the story of a miserly, money hungry old man named Horace Harpagon, who is intent on marrying himself and his children into financially advantageous marriages. Mischief and mayhem ensue as love, the law, and one stuffed armadillo get mixed up in it all. Show times are at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 3/11 and 3/12, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, 3/13. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and seating is first-come, firstserved. Faith Lutheran is located at 174 S. McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake.

FAITH LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL is proud to present its fifth annual Spring Sacred concert on Monday, March 14th, at 7:00 pm in the church building of Faith Lutheran High School in Crystal Lake, IL (the historic sanctuary of Immanuel Lutheran Church). Seasonally themed music in a wide variety of genres will be performed by the Faith Lutheran High School Band and Chorus during this Christ-centered program, directed by Mr. David Gottschalk. This concert is free, and a free will offering will be taken to support the FLHS music program. All are invited!

LIBRARY CORNER — Many, many thanks to the PTL team headed by Nikki Rutzen and Gina Gottschalk who worked the Book Fair in the Library this week. Many more thanks go to all the wonderful people who supported it. We are truly blessed! The students have lots of new books to read!

News & Notes MISSION ENDOWMENT — The Mission Endowment Committee is taking requests from congregational members for funding of mission projects from the Mission Endowment through the end of March. Both Immanuel Lutheran Church and School would be delighted to receive your designation of available funds. LWML — Once again, thanks to all who remembered to return MITE boxes to the large Mite Box. KIDS OF THE KINGDOM — We have our prayer rocks in our pockets and we are praying for you!! FIRST ANNUAL “DREAM CLOSET” “Dream Closet” is a part of Girl Scout Troop 701’s Girl Scout Silver Award Project for 2016. They are accepting donations of tween and teen girls gently used fashionable clothing, shoes, and accessories including bags, jewelry, scarves, phone cases and bedroom décor. There will be a donation box located in the school hallway across from the office.
