Bronze Non-Rusting Casket Construction For thousands of years, craftsmen have known and utilized the beauty of bronze. Many of today’s most famous statues and monuments were created in bronze. In caskets, the reference to ounces of bronze is a measurement of the weight of one square foot of the material used for construction. Bronze, a semi-precious material alloy, is the strongest and longest lasting of any casket construction material. Bronze is resistant to corrosive elements and makes an elegant, exquisite remembrance.

Stainless Steel – Rust-Resistant The strength and durability of stainless steel makes it a suitable material for the construction of caskets. It offers strength and durability beyond that of regular steel. Stainless steel, an alloy of carbon steel and chromium, is a rust-resistant material that provides resistance to corrosion at an economical price. There are two grades of stainless steel. Premium grade stainless steel is comprised of both chromium and nickel. Basic grade stainless steel is only made of chromium.

The Warmth, Beauty and Personality of Wood Caskets Wood caskets are the choice of families who appreciate and cherish the qualities of natural wood. The warmth, beauty and personality wood brings to fine furniture makes it ideally suited for the construction of quality caskets. Because of the natural characteristics of wood, no two wood caskets are alike. Wood caskets are available in a variety of species. As with furniture, the species of wood used will affect both the appearance and cost of the casket. Depending on the size and style of the casket, between 150 and 225 board feet of solid lumber are used in its construction. The unique graining pattern found in each piece of hardwood makes every casket an original. Some common species found in our caskets include:
