Young Women’s Leadership Network (YWLN) supports two life-changing programs that empower low-income students to break the cycle of poverty through education: The Young Women’s Leadership Schools (TYWLS) are a network of high performing all-girls public secondary schools that empower young women to achieve their higher education dreams and their learning and leadership potential. In 20152016, TYWLS serve more than 2,300 young women in five network schools located in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.

At CBSI, attendees choose prospective colleges, master the common application and write a personal statement. EVENT SPONSOR (EM)POWER BREAKFAST Over 700 friends, supporters, and advocates of girls education join YWLN to celebrate the success of our all-girls’ schools at the annual (Em)Power Breakfast in the fall at Cipriani 42nd Street. Support of this event helps students to receive a college-preparatory, whole-girl education, which gives them a voice and prepares them for success in college and in life. Host a table for 10 clients, executives and colleagues. Tables range from $6,000 - $100,000.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS YWLN volunteer programs offer a variety of diverse and meaningful opportunities for your company and employees to engage with our TYWLS students and contribute to their success. Programs include: < TYWLS WORKS

Your company can host TYWLS high school students at your office for a half-day program that opens our students’ eyes to the world of work.

< JUMPSTART TO COLLEGE

This is a series of workshops for TYWLS seniors and volunteers. Students receive valuable advice that prepares them for college.
