ABOUT THE ROLE The Navitas Professional, Internships & Employment (I&E) unit is largely a student facing unit focused on provision of work readiness programs for international students and graduates. The Navitas (I&E) operations deliver internship and workplace preparatory programs across all States and Territories in Australia to Australian and international students and graduates to develop them professionally and personally to enhance their career prospects. The unit provides career ready preparation for students seeking to enter the workforce at early stages of their professional career. I&E offers a portfolio of programs which develop foundation skills and career learning skills to enable students to progress their employment goals in their chosen career. I&E operates as a collegiate, matrix operational model leveraging the skills and expertise of the I&E and partner Navitas business units to deliver targeted and nuanced work ready and work development solutions for individuals, industry partners, education providers and professional associations across Australia. The I&E team works closely with other Navitas units, to combine areas of expertise to enable a broad range of students and clients to participate and succeed in the workplace of today and the future. The ideal candidate we seek will ideally have the following: •

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor or TAE40110 with one unit of competency in TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and one unit of competency in TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B or evidence of holding a diploma or higher level qualifications in adult education; Demonstrable experience in curriculum and program development preferably for qualifications from the Business Services Training Package Experience engaging with industry to develop and enhance curriculum Experience in VET teaching, learning and assessment practice Knowledge of ASQA regulations relating to curriculum design and delivery Experience in supporting trainer professional development programs Understanding of both the Higher Education and VET sectors Excellent relationship management skills Applicants must hold a valid visa to work in Australia Experience working with international students

The unit provides career ready preparation for students seeking to enter the workforce at early stages of their professional career. I&E offers a portfolio of programs which develop foundation skills and career learning skills to enable students to progress their employment goals in their chosen career. I&E operates as a collegiate, matrix operational model leveraging the skills and expertise of the I&E and partner Navitas business units to deliver targeted and nuanced work ready and work development solutions for individuals, industry partners, education providers and professional associations across Australia. The I&E team works closely with other Navitas units, to combine areas of expertise to enable a broad range of students and clients to participate and succeed in the workplace of today and the future. Areas of Responsibility: The Curriculum and Learning Lead, Internships & Employment (I&E) is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and management of teaching and learning programs in Australia for the business unit. This role works closely with I&E Trainers and the Compliance and Delivery team for the I&E business unit and reports directly to the Curriculum and Learning Manager, I&E. The purpose of the role is to ensure I&E develops and implements high quality learning programs which meet industry needs and are delivered in an engaging and experiential manner by well trained staff.

Coordinates updates to resources and information to maintain the highest standard and currency of all curriculum, teaching and professional development needs Provide support to Trainers and State Operations Managers on questions relating to the curriculum Assist the formal evaluation of business unit program offerings, including feedback from students, Trainers and industry; in order to make suitable adjustments to programs and associated materials. Assist the development of course offerings and teacher capabilities to ensure the needs of current and new markets are met Coordinate the repository of learning materials for dissemination across the I&E Trainer team Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities that maximise the business unit’s growth and profitability Update curriculum as required in order to reflect continuous improvement

b) Teaching Technology and Pedagogy • Investigate, assess and implement current and emerging tools, digital resources and educational technology options suitable for I&E program offerings, including face-to-face and online delivery • Assist and support change, improvement and innovation in educational practice through the application of technology • Provide staged training, support and guidance to teachers to enable best practice integration of technology into pedagogy • Coordinate upgrades to maintain currency and relevance of materials and resources to meet customer needs • Provide advice on latest emerging trends in eLearning and pedagogy including recommendations for integration into I&E offerings c) Trainer Management and Professional Development • Assist State Operations Managers in the recruitment and induction of I&E Trainers • Work with State Operations Managers to ensure annual performance reviews are conducted for trainers nationally • Support the recording and implementation of professional development plans for Trainers nationally, including forums in which Trainer collaboration is facilitated • Support a culture of innovation in curriculum, resources, quality systems and processes d) Training • Ensure a high level of customer serice for all clients • Deliver quality traiing on a daily basis by: o Applying classroom methodolody appropriate to the learners o Fostering a positive classroom environment and encouraging innovation and learner engagement • Produce effective learning outcomes to meet organisational and stakeholder requirements • Contribute to a repository of learning materials for sharing across the C&I trainer team • Continuously improve professional competence in the following areas: o knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs training and assessment o understanding of appropriate methodology/activity based learning to meet learner needs o current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided o competency based training and assessment e) Assessment • Conduct competency based assessments as required by the program

Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of assessments that are appropriate to the learner and units of competence being assessed • Gather and submit required evidence of assessments in line with approved policies and procedures • Ensure assessment evidence is documented in prescribed formats in the learner management system and hard copy formats as required • Document assessment in accordance with approved policies and procedures • Ensure assessments are completed within set timeframes • Participate in assessment moderations session as required • Provide comprehensive feedback to students in a timely manner Reporting and Administration • Support all ASQA related reporting to ensure it is compiled for RTO dissemination to government bodies • Assist in the assurance that the Professional Year Program meets academic reporting requirements for annual peak body audits • Support the accurate and timely analyses and reports on activities of the curriculum, quality and compliance and customer feedback areas of the I&E business unit •
