WHEN YOU ARE IN TROUBLE

We live in a sin-filled world—but through His death and resurrection, Jesus paid for our sins, took our punishment, and bought us eternal life with God. Jesus Christ has overcome this world. Because of that, we can turn to Him, no matter what trouble we’re in. And we can be certain that He will help us

Discussion Questions 1. What part of the message stood out to you the most? Why? 2. Read John 16:33. Share about a time when you experienced trouble or suffering in your life. How did you get through that season? In what ways was God present in that experience? 3. Read James 1:2. Have you or someone you know ever experienced joy in a seemingly impossible situation? What was that like? How did it impact you? 4. What are 1-2 ways you can begin to apply what you learned in the message this week?

Challenge This week, spend five minutes each morning sharing your troubles with the Lord. Invite Him into those troubles, ask Him for help, and ask Him to help you to choose and experience joy in the midst of those tough circumstances. At the end of each day, spend five minutes writing down how you saw God work in these situations.

Commit to Memory God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1
