LIMITATIONS

9.1

When installed adjacent to walls which require a fire resistance rating, the required fire protection materials must be installed prior to the installation of the bath units. All firestopping materials must likewise be installed in adjacent spaces prior to installation of each unit. All electrical equipment to be used in the products evaluated above shall conform to the National Electric Code and be installed with ground fault circuit interrupters. All equipment used with the whirlpool and steambath units shall be supplied with proper access panels. In addition, on Whirlpool Units, the circulation pump shall be accessibly located above the crown weir of the trap and the pump drain line shall be properly graded to assure minimum water retention in the volute after fixture use. Documentation must be submitted to show that glazing in doors and enclosures of the fixtures listed above conform to the requirements of Section 2405 of the Standard Building Code. Special care units have not been evaluated for compliance with the handicapped provisions of the Code. Discharge from the steam generator pressure relief valve shall meet the requirements of Section 507.8 of the Standard Plumbing Code. When steam generators are installed in areas where leakage could cause water damage to the building or injury to the building occupants, safety pans shall be provided under the units per Section 507.8 of the Standard Plumbing Code. Field installed piping for use with steam generators, pumps, etc., shall meet the requirements of Section 611 of the Standard Plumbing Code. Shower receptor waste outlets shall not be less than 2" in diameter and shall not reduce in size during their length.

Each Aqua Glass Fiberglass Bath Unit shall be permanently identified by the manufacturer's name and/or trademark, the model number, and shall bear the SBCCI Public Safety Testing and Evaluation Services, Inc. initials (SBCCI PST & ESI) or seal, and the number of this report for field identification. Each unit shall be marked with the proper ANSI Identification number. 11.
