9-10 Girls Basketball Rules

1)

Games consist of four 6-minute quarters; stopped clock.

2)

Each team will be allowed 4 time-outs.(two full one minutes and two twenty sec)

3)

Any team that is AHEAD by 10 points will not be allowed to press and mustdrop back to half court

4)

If game ends in a tie, one-minute overtime willbe played. If the score still is tied it will remain that way, except during bowl games.

5)

Each player will be allotted 5 personal fouls.

6)

Height of basketball goal is 10 feet tall, players use a 28.5 (women) size basketball.

7)

Each Player is required to play one full quarterfrom start to finish and sit out one full quarter from start to finish.

8)

Free Subbing will be allowed

10)

Blowout rule: Once a game is at a 15 point differential, points will no longer be credited to the winning team on theSCOREBOARD, the correct score will be kept in the book.

11)

Spectators who display a philosophy inconsisten t with the league philosophy will be asked to leave the premises. Remember we are here so the children can have a positive experience so cheer for both teams.
