STRATEGIC MISSION The life insurance marketplace is ever changing, becoming more representative of the American people. Diversity and Inclusion are at the forefront of that changing landscape. AALU is committed to leading the charge in driving that change, giving our partners and their field forces the knowledge to succeed in diverse marketplaces.
OVERVIEW There are many organizations, including several of our Issues Alliance Partners, who are putting a greater focus on diversity and inclusion. As a third party organization, AALU provides AALU Diversity Partners with the knowledge aggregated from around the life insurance marketplace. Not just providing one perspective, but an industry viewpoint on how to approach building a diverse field force, inclusive culture, and knowledge for building a business in diverse areas of the industry. One of the most critical benefits from becoming an AALU Diversity Partner is the return on industry investment that results from building vital relationships and experiences with leaders on Capitol Hill driving policies affecting the life insurance community. In order to achieve success, AALU will focus on: • • •

Diversity Webinars AALU will produce 4 Diversity Webinars aimed at discussing the newest developments by expert leaders within: • Ethnicity • Gender • Veterans • Generations • LGBTQ Community The goal with AALU's exclusive Diversity Webinar series is to give our partners actionable tools to go out and understand the changing marketplace and help their field forces achieve growth in their businesses. AALU Diversity Newsletter Comprising of all the latest monthly information hitting the life insurance marketplace, AALU serves as the industry leader in aggregating the most valuable pieces and delivering it directly to Diversity Partners for distribution to their stakeholders. AALU Diversity and Inclusion White Paper AALU will deliver its partners the annual Diversity and Inclusion White Paper, serving as the "user manual" for getting the most out of the AALU Diversity Initiative. Return on Investment: • Actionable knowledge from various aspects of the D&I community, taught by leaders - across multiple channels

Diversity Summit In February, AALU will host an in-person networking and seminar event in Washington, DC for 25-35 Diversity Partners, their agents, and D&I Officers to discuss what issues are affecting this aspect of the marketplace. As a Partner, you will be invited to this exclusive event. Primary purpose to this event is to give our D&I leaders and partners the ability to directly connect with Political Leaders and speak to the issues affecting diversity within the life insurance marketplace. Specific seminar discussion topics could include: •
Regulation and its affect on diversity

Current Trends Industry and Environmental Opportunities and Challenges
Potential Speakers include: • Carrier Diversity and Inclusion Officers • Prominent D&I Public Speakers • Carrier Executives Two Advocacy IMPACTs In addition to participation at the Diversity Summit, AALU will provide our Diversity Partners with 2 spots at the Advocacy IMPACTs. Specific IMPACTs TBD.

AALU Annual Meeting Workshops AALU will produce a series of pre-recorded, on-demand workshops focused on various hot topics within the diversity and inclusion space, specific issues and/or challenges agents will face, and insights from leaders on how to successfully grow your practice in this area. • Segmented into 101, 201, and 301 levels AALU Annual Meeting Diversity Summit AALU will host a yearly Diversity Summit, inviting 15-30 D&I Officers within the life insurance community to discuss how the industry can achieve positive policy outcomes by being an accurate representation of our clients - on Capitol Hill, within carriers, and in AALU membership. The inaugural Diversity Summit at the 2016 Annual Meeting was an exceptional networking opportunity, and provided an excellent platform for carrier leaders to align on this critical issue.
