Tuesday Morning Studies

FACILITY-BASED BIBLE STUDIES All studies for this semester begin the week of January 7th. Please don’t let the cost of any study prohibit your attendance. Payment assistance is available. Please contact the church office.

Sunday Evening Study A Fresh Look at the Gospel of John 6-8 PM, Room 205 (same time as Crave High School Group) Come and see Jesus up close: we promise you -it will be better than the finest wine. All you need is a Bible (we actually have some), lots of questions, and the heart of a learner. Same study as Discipleship 101 just a new name. Led by Courtney Sneed.

Monday Evening Study Discerning the Voice of God - by Priscilla Shirer 7-9 PM, Room 125, Cost is $15. By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God’s voice, language, character, and tone. We will learn to understand how God’s voice reveals his plan, and how to respond and wait on the Lord. Led by Mary Elzinga.

Childcare is available for $40 per semester, per family. Registration is necessary.

Discerning the Voice of God - by Priscilla Shirer 9:15-11 AM, Room 205, Cost is $15 By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God’s voice, language, character, and tone. We will learn to understand how God’s voice reveals his plan, and how to respond and wait on the Lord. Led by Hillary Wesney. Dust to Glory – by R.C. Sproul This study is continuing from the fall. 9:15-11 AM, Room 125, Cost is $20 if starting in January. Come experience a unique study tour that explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. Dust to Glory provides a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible. It can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read, understand, and apply Scripture to your life. Led by the teaching team of Katie Drake, Jill Hostvedt, Eva Mack, Katie Marchese, Cheryl McMordie, and Char Tomer.

Wednesday Morning Study Sermon on the Mount - by Jen Wilkin 9:30-11:30 AM, Room 125, Cost is $15. What does it mean to be a citizen of the kingdom of Heaven? The Sermon on the Mount articulates what the life of a Christ follower should look like. In this study, we will examine the words of Jesus in-depth as He challenges us to think differently about repentance, salvation, and sanctification. Led by Stephanie Goldschmidt.

Thursday Afternoon Study Faithful Friends Son of David - by Nancy Guthrie 12:15 – 2 PM, Room 125, Cost is $10. A study of the Old Testament Historical Books— Joshua through Esther— We will see Jesus as: the greater Joshua who leads his people into rest; the greater Boaz who has done all that is necessary to redeem; the greater King who will sit on David’s throne forever; the greater Restorer who is building his church from ruined stones. Gain a fresh perspective on Israel’s history and God’s kingdom, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture. Led by Jean Muller and a team of small group leaders.

Friday Morning Studies Precept on Precept Numbers: Trusting God in the Wilderness 9-11 AM, Room 125, Cost is $15.

When the Israelites cried out to God, He raised up Moses to bring them out of slavery and into the Promised Land. But the people rebelled and suffered the terrible consequence of wandering in a wilderness. In what ways are you wandering in a wilderness? Are you following the Lord to the place He wants you to be? Join us as we seek to answer these questions and more. Led by Lurleen Worthington and Jen Smulling.

Coffee Time To Be Where You Are – by Jan Karon 9:30 -Noon, Room 205, Cost is $15. Come join us for a Book club/Bible study. We are going to read and discuss this recent bestseller, pausing to read and study parallel stories in Scripture. Led by Judi Morgan.

MOPS -Mothers of Preschoolers, Birth thru Kindergarten: Are you feeling overwhelmed one minute and overjoyed the next as you parent your little ones? Would you like a few quiet hours of encouragement each month to fellowship with other moms and enjoy adult conversation? If your answer is yes, MOPS is for you! Meeting the first Thursday of the month OctoberMay from 9:15-11 AM. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Desk or on the church website. Girls Night In: Get to know the other women of Covenant. Join us for a time of fun and fellowship with a goal. Together we will look at some aspect of being a Christian woman in today’s world while getting to know the other women on this journey. Feb. 5th & May 7th from 7 PM – 9 PM.

MIMS-Mothers in the Middle: Mothers of school-aged children coming alongside one another to seek God's desire for parenting while encouraging one another in this journey.

Meeting the second Thursday of the month October-May from 9:30-11 AM. MOTS -Mothers of Teens: Our teens are bombarded with more and more pressures making parenting at times, a steep uphill climb. Know you are not alone on the journey. Join us as we discuss the joys and concerns of parenting teens. Meeting the third Thursday of the

month October-May from 12:30 – 2:30 PM.

MOCA -Mothers of College-Aged: Do you have a child in College? Is the transition to far away parenting difficult? Are you wondering if an empty nest will ever feel good? Join us as we navigate these new waters together leaning on the Lord and each other. Meeting once a quarter from 7-9 PM. Check the Women’s Ministry Facebook page and the Weekly for date, time and location.

Women's Night of Prayer at Covenant: Join us as we go before the Lord together for the things on our hearts and minds. Dates will be

posted in the Worship Program and Covenant Weekly as they occur.

S.O.S Service or Silliness: A once a month activity where our women are called into short term service opportunities or fun fellowship opportunities. Announcement of activity made only on the Women’s Ministry Bible Blast and Facebook page. Stitching In His Name: Women who love to serve the Lord by knitting and crocheting scarves, blankets, sweaters, and other items for those in need. Dare To Be Conference -Jan 27th at the Christian Life Center in Bensalem: The block of tickets purchased by women’s ministry is sold out but you may still be able to get tickets on the Dare to Be site at Daretobe.com.
