Graduate Wind Energy Engineer/ Graduate Wind Energy Analyst Oldbaum Services are a leading wind energy consultancy with global experience in the delivery of technical services. Our work to date has successfully delivered over 16GW of technical services in the onshore and offshore sectors. Oldbaum Services are recognised leaders in the field of applied remote sensing techniques such as LiDAR and SoDAR, working with our clients to maximise available data and ensure data quality. Our expertise is used in all cases to extract the maximum value for our clients in line with their project and data requirements. Our work includes timeseries analysis, instrumentation and wind park design, as well as field service and system deployment/management services. Job Description The successful candidate will be involved in a number of aspects of our business in order to gain expertise and a full understanding of wind data acquisition and analysis. The work may involve data analysis, wind tunnel work, visits to client sites for survey work, field service work, and installation of systems on site. The data analysis work will vary from standard wind energy yield predictions to more involved timeseries analysis looking for either system data quality issues, or investigating site flow characteristics. From time to time validation and verification work of remote sensing units against reference systems will be undertaken also. Essential criteria Good Degree in a highly numerate discipline (e.g. physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering) Interest and motivation to work in the wind industry Excellent communicator with clients and colleagues Excellent report writing skills Willingness to work outdoor and office based Statistics/analysis skills Full and valid driving licence Willingness to travel Desirable criteria Experience working in the wind industry sector Analysis experience Remuneration Contract and salary: depending on relevant experience and education Training: Oldbaum Services provides regular CPD opportunities for its staff, depending on individual development plans and the needs of the company Location: Stirling, UK Start date: tbc
