Teacher: Charles R. Helms, D.Phil. Charles R. Helms is a commercial attorney in private practice with interests in Patristics and the Johannine corpus of the New Testament. He holds an A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, an M.A. in Theology from the University of Dallas, a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, and a D.Phil. in Theology from Oxford University, England. Dr. Helms taught an earlier version of this course to graduate students of Theology at the University of Dallas. He and his wife, Rachel, have five children.
