An exciting full time role of Internship Placement Coordinator role with our Internships & Employment Team

ABOUT THE ROLE Navitas Internships & Employment is an integral element of Navitas Professional. It delivers internship and career placement opportunities to recent graduates with a focus on international student graduates. The business has also close synergies with other units within Navitas Professional, which offer a range of programs aimed at providing capabilities that drive the “Find-Train-Place” operational paradigm. Key functions of the role are the provision of internships for participants of the Professional Year Program, Short Course Programs and the Study to Work Programs. The Internship Placement Coordinator builds industry partnerships to source internship placements for Navitas participants. These internship roles are related to the participant’s field of study. We have an established network of companies in Melbourne Region supporting this program and wish to continually expand our network due to an increase in placements needed. It is expected that the Internship Placement Coordinator will achieve a target of 15 to 20 placements per month, depending on the industry weight of the placement. The ideal candidate we seek will ideally have the following: • • • • • • • •

Relevant business degree or tertiary qualifications Previous experience within HR, Recruitment, Marketing or Business Development Demonstrated ability to meet placement targets Exceptional customer and client management skills Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills Strong time management skills, organisational skills and attention to detail Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Initiative, drive and a strong sense of urgency

Key Result Areas:

Responsibilities: • Develop strong relationships at the appropriate levels within a broad range of industries across Melbourne with the aim of generating internship opportunities for Navitas program participants • Conduct outbound calls with prospective host companies/internship providers • Attend meetings with prospective host companies/internship providers • Conduct pre-placement interviews and shortlist internship candidates for host companies • Monitor the progress of interns and provide support to host companies • Participate in networking events, information seminars and industry information days • Network with industry to explore business opportunities and to secure further internship opportunities/vacancies

Deliver orientation sessions and class presentations as required Maintain and update the CRM systems Complete general administration work related to internship placements as required Other duties related to the Navitas Internships & Employment unit as directed by Management and the Melbourne Operations Manager

Performance Indicators: • Achieve appropriate placement and engagement targets • Identify new business opportunities both internally and externally • Deliver and promote new product offerings developed by I&E • Increase brand awareness and industry presence with consistent and coherent marketing messages as a leader in the education and training industry • Ensure optimal use of systems, processes and procedures • Contribute to the effectiveness and capabilities of the Internships & Employment team
