Good Morning, Guests! Thank you so much for choosing to worship with us today! Please fill out the enclosed attendance and response sheet. A vital part of our worship assembly is our “Celebration of Communion.” It is a time of remembering all that Jesus has done for us in His sacrifice on the cross. We do this every Sunday, just like Jesus’ followers did some 2000 years ago. We will also collect an offering. We do not expect you to participate in our offering, but you are welcome to do so if you choose. If you would like to know more about the San Jose Church of Christ, any of our ministers would be delighted to speak with you. Of course, one of the best ways to know the “real scoop” is to ask the person sitting next to you. We also invite you to visit our website, www.sjcc.us.

TRUST Putting your confidence in someone you can depend on MEMORY VERSE “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5, NIrV BIBLE STORY Joseph Interprets Pharaoh's Dreams Genesis 41 BOTTOM LINE When the pressure is on you can trust that God is with you. MEALTIME Ask you child: Would you rather let your parents pick out your clothes everyday for the rest of your life or let them choose your friends all the way through high school? Why do you trust them more in that area?

Jacksonville Chess Club The Jacksonville Chess Club has resumed meeting and offers an 8-week training program:   

Sunday afternoons 1:30 - 4:00 pm FLC

Most lessons will end with competitive play between students or instructors to allow practical use of newly acquired knowledge. Lesson plans and homework will be provided for each student. San Jose partners with the club by providing them a stable place to operate. For more information, visit their website: jaxcc.org.

Prayer Requests and Praises Carlos Rugama, our minister in Momotombo, Nicaragua, hurt his leg quite badly in a household accident. Anticipated surgery was postponed due to other more pressing surgeries in the medical system there. A 5.9 earthquake hit Momotombo in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Carlos, his immediate family and home are safe, but his sister-in-law miscarried a child in her fright. Be in prayer for her, and for our brothers and sisters in the Momotombo church.

Wednesday Night Dinners … tentatively resuming October 12! Kitchen Cleaning Day-September 30 In preparation for the resumption of Wednesday night dinners, please consider joining the crowd of kitchen cleaners who’ll make sure the cooking area is spic and span! Join Dicie Wright and her crew on Friday, September 30, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, in the FLC kitchen.
