None of those other things trump his credentials – they serve to validate His credentials!
promises a davidic kingdom, which though perhaps interrupted, would be established forever!
Why 4 Gospels?
1. Jesus is the common property of every person Heb 2:11 …He is not ashamed to call them brethren (MSG – Since the One who saves and those who are saved have a common origin, Jesus doesn’t hesitate to treat them as family) Rev 5:9 …for You were slain, and purchased for God with Your blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
2. The divine declaration that Jesus would bring in the kingdom of God Matt – 3 X 14 Luke – 7 X 11
3. establishes the davidic line without corruption! traced through David’s Son, Nathan and not solomon! two seemingly contradictory promises harmonized!
4. brings us face-to-face with what god has brought to us!
