Announcements & Ministry Highlights Christmas Hours: Church business offices will be closed Dec 26, 27 and Jan 2. Worship Services: Join us for worship on Christmas morning! We will have one traditional service at 10:30am. Then on Jan 1 we will have one contemporary service at 10:30am with Communion. We will resume regular worship times beginning Jan 8: 8am, Communion Worship, Chapel; 9:15am, Traditional Worship, Sanctuary; 10:45am, Contemporary Worship, Sanctuary. KidTrek, a ministry for children and families: We’d love to see you on Sundays for Sunday School each week. First thru fifth graders may also join us on Wednesdays, 6:30–8:00pm for Base Camp, our midweek program packed with games, friends and Jesus. This summer, we will host an amazing Music Camp, June 19–23, and we’ll be sending 8–12 year olds to Eagle Lake Camp in Colorado Springs, July 9–14. Music at First Pres: The Music Ministry offers a variety of music opportunities including two children’s choirs (4s–2nd grade and 3rd–6th grade), Salt & Light Choir (7th–12th grade), two adult choirs (Chapel and Chancel), small ensembles, the First Pres Bell Ringers, the Family Bells Choir, the First Pres Worship Team, and special concerts throughout the year. Buffet dinner and childcare are provided and begin 30 minutes prior to each class. • Financial Peace University, a 9-week DVD course taught by Dave Ramsey. Dave uses Biblical principles to help you get out of debt, save for emergencies, pay off your mortgage early, save for your kids’ college and your retirement, and become a generous giver. Some of the topics we will cover are understanding each other’s needs, effective communication, resolving conflict, parents and in-law issues, and more. Class time is 6:15–8pm. • Behold: Beauty and the Life of Faith, an 8-week class led by Jeff Hoffmeyer. We will explore the biblical foundation for the idea that God is Beauty and will discuss how God might transform our lives as we begin to see (behold!) the world as God sees it. Class time is 6:30–8pm.
