ONGOING CONCERNS • Amy Gillen ~ John’s Dad, George Gillen (Age 84) The surgery went well, they removed "old blood" from his first fall two weeks ago. He is still in ICU, hopefully being released to a rehab facility to continue to gain strength & receive PT & OT, possibly Saturday. (8-4) • Kayety Stringer ~ Home recovering from surgery. (8-3) • Mary Dohlman’s daughter Becky ~ Becky's wrist has improved somewhat. Dr. can't explain the continuing pain. She continues at home exercises & therapy (7-31) • Matt Kingsley ~ Recovering at home after Back Surgery. (7-31) • Carl Hood’s brother, Chuck ~ Hit on his motorcycle in Indiana. Will have to amputate his left leg at the calf. He has a shattered femur & may need to have his leg amputated above the knee. Pray for him. (7-29) • Teri Pittman’s Dad ~ Doing well & gaining strength each day. He still is unable to communicate verbally & is unable to write because the stroke affected his right side. We continue to stay with him daily to help with communication. (7-28) • Leslie Rhodes ~ Father, Claude still breathing issues & overall wellness. (7-28) • Sarah Lee ~ Pray for safety for Grand children, Nathan & Lacy during disputed custody. (7-28) • (Winston) Paul Rains ~ Has many problems, the infection from the melanoma surgery is a concern (Top of his head), Problems with lungs & kidneys etc. seem to be on going, He has home health care etc. He is very positive & upbeat. (7-21) • Nan Jordan’s brother, Brent ~ Headaches have lessened greatly with the Blood Patch on Monday. The PET scan on his leg showed that there is no cancer. The swelling is due to some fluid on his knee. (7-21) • Lonnie & Sarah Lee’s Grandson, Jake ~ Medical Issues. Pray for healing & comfort. Pray for family, especially mom, Debbie. (7-10) • Lonnie & Sarah Lee’s Grandson, Stephen Dubiel (In his 30’s) ~ Salvation. Still do not know where he is. (7-10) • Lee Derrick ~ Back home. (6-26) • Sandy Tarbet’s dad, Leonard Cane ~ Holding his own, has dementia. Able to do things on his own most of the time. Heart is giving out. (6-19) • Val Tarbet ~ Lost job on May 26th. Looking for new job. Helping his parents at the moment. (6-16) • Linda Hacker ~ Recovering from a broken leg. (6-16) • Deborah Kennedy ~ Recovery is going well but slow at times. Has regained all mobility but it’s been slow in getting strength back. (2-7) • Charlie Johnston ~ Mother, Roxana Quarles, health. • Charles Northington, Sue’s husband ~ Health. • Military Chaplains as they minister to our brave military personnel, many who are in harms way; Trevor Carpenter (Navy), Ron Fisher (Army), Scott Britton (Army) & Mike Krog (Army). Pray for God's blessing on their ministries & the safety of our military personnel. • Virginia Brand’s daughter, Phyllis Jackson ~ Lives in OK, Has MS.

CANCER PRAYER NEEDS • Jerry & Lynne Burke ~ 1 year old granddaughter Olivia has been diagnosed w/malignant tumor on her face. Port has been put in & all went well. (8-24-17) • Cindy Dakota's daughter Shana Franklin ~ Breast cancer. Still has about 9 months of chemo, but she is declared cancer free! (8-23-17) • Johnny Day ~ on Hospice for Cancer. Wife: Susan. (8-22-17) • Bruce Barlow ~ Richard Wong (Former Member) lung cancer. at Baylor Centennial @ Coit & Lebanon, RM 3309, did NOT move to HealthSouth on 15th Street today. Dr wants to monitor his kidney’s for a few more days. Pray for Richard, Shirley & Matt. (8-17-17) • Jean Anthony ~ Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Finished her 3rd round of chemo on Tuesday & has 3 more to go. CT Scan in a few weeks so they can see how things are going. Dr. said chemo is attacking the cancer & it’s having minimal effects on her (no nausea, hair loss, etc.) so we’re full of praise! (8-4-17) • Caleb Lain, former intern of Fred McNab, has acute leukemia. in remission but continuing chemo. (8-1-17) • Carolyn Jacobsen ~ Ovarian Cancer. being monitored for some changes that are observed on different scans. (7-31-17) • Deborah Dyer ~ Cancer. Still taking chemo every week for 3 weeks and then off the next. Next week is my off week and then I've 3 more weeks. Dr. Will make a decision the end of this treatment what happens next. (7-30-17) • Tiffany Bell, daughter of Paul Rains ~ breast cancer. Report from the Dr. is the cancer is gone. Tiffany will have cosmetic surgery but not sure when. She is feeling good, she & Paul so appreciate the prayers. (7-29-17) • Doris Loeffler ~ Stage 4 bone cancer. She is paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband has dementia & could no longer take care of her here so she was moved to Spring River Christian Village, 201 S. Northpark Lane, Room 2, Joplin, MO 64801, to be close to her children & other family members. (7-28-17)

CANCER PRAYER NEEDS (Cont.) • Bill Borden ~ back in the hospital with severely limited lung capacity due to a rare reaction to one of the chemo drugs. He is being treated with high dose steroids hoping to stop any more damage. (7-28-17) • Beth Singleton’s brother-in-law, Kurt Blevins ~ Cancer in Kidney. He has scans every 6 months & is doing well. (7-28-17) • Holly Barton – Uncle Fred – found a mass in his lung – praying for chance to talk to him about his salvation. He's going in for a PET scan next week. (7-28-17) • Karen, friend of Nancy Nelson ~ Thyroid cancer. all looks stable so no surgery for now. (7-28-17) • David Storrie, Jimmy Storrie’s brother ~ Had a pet scan July 19 & is cancer free! (7-28-17) • Lonnie Lee ~ Prayers for comfort & healing. Still fighting Cancer & he has developed heart problems. (7-28-17) • Linda Holman ~ Saw Dr. on Monday, She got a great report & does not have to go back to Dr. till September. No chemo or radiation! (7-19-17) • Lisa Lilley ~ Breast cancer; Feeling very good! No nausea during my last two chemo rounds & that's a big praise. I have 4 more rounds of chemo. My prayer request would be for God to continue blessing me with strength & peace & no sickness for the remaining four treatments & the surgery to follow. I also ask for prayer as I start a new job this fall as a PreK teacher's assistant at Mendenhall Elementary. Finally, that I keep my eyes on Jesus a& keep trusting in Him wherever He takes me & that He will be glorified through it all. (7-18-17) • Cheryl Franklin ~ Cancer has returned. (7-10-17) • Debbie Barker ~ Treatment was not working. Her scans did not come back good. She is trying a new treatment. (6-6-17) • Ken Cross ~ Has slow growing form of skin cancer. Tuesday full body scan to check for other areas of concern. See surgeon soon to remove the current spot. Has some extended family issues, pray for wisdom. (3-14-17) • Bobbi Horne, Brad’s friend/boss, Andy ~ brain cancer. Continuing treatment. (3-3-17) • Warren & Sherry Samuels ~ Warren diagnosed with Leukemia. Praise, his numbers have been so low he hasn’t had to start chemo. (1-29-17) • Shirley Eberst’s Cousin, Hugh ~ Seems to be able to do more & more. Has gone to church & some social activities. Every once in a while has a setback but seems to be moving in the right direction. It's going to take a LONG time to get back to "normal".

International Mission Board Prayer Requests “In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. ” (Romans 8:26)

• Northern African & Middle Eastern People ~ Layla's* sister-in-law called from her homeland to beg her to pray. Layla's brother, Fouad*, was being held in prison, & execution was scheduled to take place. Layla, a new follower of Jesus, prayed through the night for her brother's release. Just minutes before his life was to be taken, a guard entered to say that Fouad's name had been cleared from wrongdoing & all charges had been dropped. Praise the Lord & rejoice with Layla that her brother has been set free! (*names changed) .

• Muslims of Tamil Nadu, India TAH-mil NAH-doo) ~ Pray for Sheila* & Rudy*, two upper-class Muslim women who have heard the gospel but are resistant to the truth. They have had many discussions about the gospel, have been given the Word of God in their heart language, & have also received other evangelistic materials. Pray that they will examine the Word & the materials in the privacy of their homes & genuinely seek to know the truth. Petition for situations that draw them to the realization of their need for a Savior. Ask that more true believers will cross their paths & share truth with them. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to pursue these women relentlessly! (*names changed) • Africa, China, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia & Russia
