Our Mission

Vision Statement

The Pregnancy/Reproductive Health Community of Interest is a multi-disciplinary professional practice group of the AADE dedicated to advancing the practice of: •Aggressive and timely diabetes care and selfmanagement training for the reproductive family. •Preventing the onset of diabetes and related conditions in women of childbearing capacity. •Preventing the onset of diabetes and related conditions in children of pregnancies complicated by diabetes. •Serving as a leader in the education of our members as well as the broader health care community regarding reproductive health. •Advocating for improved access to self management training for the reproductive family. •Promoting evidence based research in selfmanagement training as it relates to the reproductive family.

The Pregnancy/Reproductive Health COI is a resource of experts in diabetes selfmanagement education for women of reproductive age affected by diabetes. This includes prevention and /or reduction of short and long term pregnancy- associated risks for both the mother and her baby.
