In Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands, A Young Politician’s Quest for Recovery in the American West, Roger Di Silvestro tells the exciting story of how the character and commitment of the future president and conservationist were forged during roundups, bronco busting, fist fights, grizzly bear hunts, and encounters with horse thieves as the Old West drew to its end. And in our second book, Edith Kermit Roosevelt, Portrait of a First Lady, Sylvia Jukes Morris paints a portrait of the Roosevelts and their times as one of the most successful romantic and political partnerships in American history.
Monday, January 7
Lurline will take us on a journey encompassing the separate lives of Edith and Theodore and the great work they did together.
