Prayers of comfort and sympathy are requested for Helen Metcalf and her family on the death of John Metcalf. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at the Eisenhower Chapel of National Presbyterian Church on Friday, January 25 at 2:00 PM. Prayers are requested for Louise Trent who is recovering at home after a brief hospital stay. Prayers of comfort and sympathy are requested for Connie Rhind Robey, her mother Laura, and the rest of her family on the death of Connie’s father, Jim Rhind. Bob Day requests prayers of support for his long-time friend Thomas as he seeks redemption and to resume his life’s work of caring for and educating youth-at-risk in Anacostia. Nancy Rosan requests prayers for her friends Martha and Susy, who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Peggy Hawkins requests prayers for her niece, Andrea, who is in a NYC hospital with pneumonia and a virus that is attacking her liver. Florence Mills requests prayers for her 80-year-old cousin, Libby, who is in the hospital undergoing tests for an unknown illness Prayers for travelling mercies for Jim Shelhamer, Ellen Jacknain and Sally Kelly, who are in Shikokho, Kenya on continuing our connection and ministry with that region. Rita Teresa requests prayers for her colleague, Ann, who is transferring from ICU with double pneumonia to chemotherapy for cancer treatment. Carol Tucker-Foreman requests prayers for healing for her nephew, CCPC member Lance Alworth, who has now had successful hip replacement surgery. Carol and Lance thank you for your prayers and expressions of concern. Prayers of sympathy and comfort for the McCormick family, Jenny and their boys, Liam and Nicky, on the death of husband and father, Sean, who died on January 9 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service is planned for Monday, January 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Prayers of healing for our Parish Associate, Ed White, who had open heart surgery on January 14. Anna Hodgson requests prayers for her friend, Tanisha, who is again undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. Prayers of comfort for Cindy Walsh and her family on the death of her Aunt Ruth in LaGrange, GA. Sally Kelly asks prayers of healing for Peter Ingosi’s son, who is recovering from surgery. Peter is our liaison for CCPC’s ministries in Shikokho, Kenya. Prayers are requested for the homeless and needy who are provided with food and other necessities of life through Shepherd’s Table.
