SILVERWRAPTM MD is a flexible four layer product. The 97% reflective foil backed membrane is

We utilise Advanced Laminating Technology; the polymer adhesive remains tacky for an
indefinite period and provides superior resistance to heat, fire and delamination compared
with hot melt resins. This results in a smarter insulation membrane with improved appearance, strength and toughness.

SILVERWRAPTM MD has a Water Vapour Transmission (WVT) rate of 6.18 grams per square metre per 24 hours tested at 20°C, 65% Relative Humidity (RH). Vapour Resistance 21.579 MN·s/g.
WRAP-MD
Ametalin classification is waterproof, vapour barrier medium. Vapour retarders can be specified for use under linings in buildings. A detailed hygrothermal analysis is recommended for moisture control in building design.

Installation SILVERWRAPTM MD should be installed in accordance with AS/NZS 4200.2:1994 Pliable Building Membranes and Underlays, Part 2: Installation Requirements. SILVERWRAPTM MD is installed with the blue side facing out. SILVERWRAPTM MD is not designed to withstand prolonged direct exposure to the elements. Accordingly, upon application of this product the outer wall should be installed without delay. Aluminium foils should not come into contact with wet concrete or mortar, as the aluminium is susceptible to alkali corrosion.
NCC/BCA Compliant SILVERWRAPTM MD complies with AS/NZS 4200.1:1994 and AS/NZS 4859.1:2002 and therefore satisfies all general requirements of the National Construction Code and Building Code of Australia.
Insulation When installed facing an air space SILVERWRAPTM MD is a barrier to radiant heat, keeping buildings cool in summer and warm in winter, saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. For indicative R-values in accordance with AS/NZS 4859.1:2002 for a particular application, please contact the manufacturer.
