New Testament, Lesson 4

Psssst! Look for a

clue in this newsletter!

Testimony: I know that Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God in the flesh.

The Story ~An angel appeared to Mary and told her she would have a son and his name would be Jesus. ~An angel appeared to Joseph and told him that Mary would have a son named Jesus who would save his people from their sins. ~Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem to pay their taxes. ~While they were there, Jesus was born in a stable. ~Angels appeared to the shepherds to bear witness that God’s Only Begotten Son had been born in Bethlehem. ~Jesus Christ is called the Only Begotten Son of God because he is the only person born in mortality whose physical father is Heavenly Father. ~Mary’s husband, Joseph was chosen to help teach and raise Jesus. ~Because Mary was mortal, Jesus was also mortal and could die for us. ~Because God is the father of Jesus’ physical body, Jesus did not have to die. ~Jesus chose to die for our sins and overcome death.

Scripture Study Luke 1:26-38 Why is that smiley face pointing to me? I don’t have the clue…

This way for clue…

CHALLENGE: By

memorizing the 1st Article of Faith, you can pass off a Faith in God requirement. Fill in the puzzle with the words of the First Article of Faith. Hint: Because it’s the only word with four letters, start with the word Holy.

Um… look down…. And around…

My favorite scripture from today’s lesson is: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” ~John 3:16
