TRANSITIONS FAQ 1. What if I (or my small group) can’t fill an entire basket? That’s ok! We will accept any and all home goods on the list and the Transitions Ministry will sort the home goods to ensure individuals and families receive the home goods they actually need. 2. What if all the items don’t fit in the basket? That’s ok! Please return the basket with any home goods on the list and the Transitions Ministry will sort the items and ensure individuals and families receive the home goods they actually need. 3. Can I (or my small group) fill our own basket? Yes, provided it is square and approximately 19” wide x 19” deep x 14” high. This is to allow for consistent and safe storage of the home goods. 4. Can I (or my small group) mix items from different baskets? That’s ok! Please return the basket with any home goods on the list and the Transitions Ministry will sort the items into respective categories. 5. Can I bring just one item? Of course! If you have just one item, please donate it. 6. Can I buy multiples of a single item? Of course! Families in need may have one child while some may have six children. Vineyard Columbus’ Transitions Ministry hopes to have enough home goods and items on hand to respond to any individual or family need. 7. Why can I only donate NEW bedding or other cloth items? Because of the volume of goods, Transitions Ministry asks that all cloth items be NEW. Additionally, bedding can be particularly difficult to inspect. The one exception is towels, provided that they are washed before donation. 8. Can I bring something not on the list? No, we ask that all other household donations go to other organizations, such as the Salvation Army. 9. My child received a child specific donation list. Do we have to bring something from both lists? No, while a family may certainly bring more than one item, a family needs only to select one item from the two lists. 10. When will the home goods be available for those in need? Beginning Friday, April 1, 2016, Vineyard Columbus’ Transitions Ministry will begin to receive referrals. 11. How do I refer an individual or family in need? Please contact Diane Bauman,
