Who is Dr. Grossman? Dr. Miriam Grossman received her BA from Bryn Mawr College, her medical degree from New York University, and her psychiatric training though Cornell University Medical College. She is board certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Dr. Grossman served for 12 years as a psychiatrist on the campus of UCLA-Berkley working with Student Psychological Services. Day-to-day experience revealed an overwhelming lack of information and extensive misinformation in regards to women’s health issues. This motivated Dr. Grossman to write her first book, Unprotected. The first edition was authored anonymously because exposing the truth of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, abortion, and infertility would most likely end her medical career. Dr. Grossman eventually left her counseling position at UCLA because the political correctness and strong feminist agenda compromised her ability to speak with honesty to women about the vulnerability of their bodies. Dr. Grossman uses her knowledge of women’s health and biologically based scientific truths to speak to many diverse groups and organizations both on the national and international level. She has presented to the House of Lords in London, testified before the California Senate, and addressed the United Nation’s Commission on the Status of Women. She has reviewed sex education curricula and authored You’re Teaching My Child What? and Sense and Sexuality. Dr. Grossman examines the social agendas that permeate her profession and explains how they harm society. Her focus is on sex education and reproductive health--both hot button topics in the political realm today. Dr. Grossman describes her profession’s flawed approach to gender and same-sex attraction and its denial of the importance of faith as it relates to one’s overall wellness. More important to Dr. Grossman than debating the American Psychological Association or Planned Parenthood is keeping people out of the offices of doctors and therapists. To that end, she is on a crusade to reach as many individuals as possible--in the United States and abroad--with biological truths they need to know, but aren’t being told.
