Honeywell, Inc., has announced plans to relocate its Corporate Research Center in a three-story, 100,000square-foot facility in the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington in 1971. The company has purchased the facilities of Ashland Oil & Refining Co. which Honeywell will re-equip. Honeywell has outgrown its present research center in the Minneapolis suburb of Hopkins. HARLECO presents a new lead dioxide exposure system utilizing the Huey Sulfation plate. This method surpasses the traditional lead candle, used to measure sulfur dioxide air pollution, in both economy and accuracy. To expose tho HARLECO sulfation plate, simply remove the petri dish lid and place it in a HARLECO holder, securing the plate in an upside down position. The petri dish thus serves a two-fold purpose as shelter and as a shipping container. (Reagents for turbidimetric analysis of sulfation plates, according to the Huey method, are available from HARLECO.) Completely self-contained in a plastic petri dish, the HARLECO sulfation plate eliminates the difficulties encountered in the tedious preparation of the sulfation candle, as well as the expense of a shelter for the housing of the sampler. E-C Apparatus Corp., founded by Samuel Raymond, makes electrophoretic equipment, solvent separation apparatus, and other laboratory equipment. Milton Roy makes medical equipment, laboratory products, industrial equipment, and optical products at four facilities in the U. S. and in plants in Canada and England. Nil Laboratory Furniture, Inc., 270 Duffyr Ave., Hicksville, N.Y., is a new company' formed from facilities and personnel of such established firms as Metalab Equipment Co., Laboratory Furniture Co., Inc., Labcraft, Royal School Laboratories, Eastone Co., Taylor Stone Co., Permalab-Metalab, and Standard Wood Products Corp.
