Family Newsletter May 2016 SKP recently had the great fortune of meeting Philip Passantino through our community art show at Carrollwood Cultural Center. In honor of his mother Myrtle who was a social worker and his father C. Robert who was a stockbroker, Philip has become a great supporter of this organization. With his generous donation, we were able to continue our expansion efforts in Pasco County. Beginning in January 2016 with his financial support we were able to partner with Gulfiside Hospice and the Department of Juvenile Justice Pasco County detention center to continue our mission of providing support for children/teens from 3-18 years of age and their families, who have experience the death of a significant person. Thank you Philip!
SKP groups will continue normally throughout the entire month of June. There will not be normal groups during the months of July and August. We understand that grief does not end during the break period, so please feel free to contact us during this time. We will continue to be in the office planning for the next school year. We will be contacting you all in August about any group changes they may need to make, such as child moving into next age group.
A camp for your children to express their grief through various forms of art. Each day will be filled with multiple art projects mixed with other fun activities. Lunch will be provided each week. Who: Kâ12th graders in the 2016-2017 school year that have experienced a death. Where: Lutz & Brandon locations When: Four Tuesdays, July 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th 9:30 AM â 12:30 PM Cost: $30 per child (cost is for all 4 weeks for supplies and lunch)
