Children Children’s Christmas Program - TONIGHT at 6pm in the Family Ministry Center. ALL children need to be in the FMC at 4pm, dress in jeans and a light colored shirt. If you have any questions, please contact April Branham, Jami Pritchard or Robin Helm.

Music & Worship The arrival of the wise men in Jerusalem would have created quite a stir. These were strange men with a strange question, asking for the King of the Jews. They couldn’t have said a worse thing to King Herod. In effect, they were saying, “We’re looking for the King of the Jews—and clearly you’re not him.”

There was no question the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Of course, Herod wanted to stop this Child from coming and wanted to destroy Him. God used these wise men to get Herod’s attention. These were pagan men who were steeped in the occult. Yet God reached them in a way that they understood. He came to them by a star.

IGNITION & ENOUGH Wednesday @ 6:00PM in The GC

The Lord says that those who seek Him will find Him. To educated men and women, He will come to them in a way they can understand. To little children, He will appear in a way they can understand. I believe that if people are truly seeking God, He will reveal Himself to them.

2018 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering SBC Goal: $150,000.00 Received to date: $11,541.25

WELCOME NEW MEMBERS! Chris and Wanda Harris - Letter PO Box 57, Great Falls 29055

Every Church. Every Nation. It’s more than a catch phrase. It’s at the core of what Southern Baptist do. We believe every church—and every church member—has a critical role to play in bringing the gospel to the world. Your participation in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is a key part of that. Your Gifts Transform Lives Because we give to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, IMB missionaries can take the gospel to unreached peoples around the world. Every dollar you give makes a difference, because 100% of the money collected goes to the work of reaching every nation. The Story of Lottie Moon In the 1800s, a missionary named Lottie Moon wrote letters from China urging American churches to fund more overseas workers. After Lottie’s death on the mission field, an offering was started in her name. The offering was established to empower international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. The Southern Baptist Convention 2018 goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is $160M. Our goal at Second Baptist is $150,000.

LOTTIE MOON POST OFFICE The Lottie Moon post office is open and will remain open through December 23. At the post office, you can “mail” cards to SBC member for .25 cents per card. Be sure to pick up your cards at the post office as well! All proceeds go to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
