About the role The Payroll / Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for the provision of highest quality accounting services to support the Finance Shared Services function of the Australasia region of Navitas around the General Ledger reporting and process championing for Fixed Assets and Payroll General Ledger (i.e. the GL end of the cycle post payroll processing) cycles. Essential Skills and Experience i. Relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience in payroll or payroll accounting and fixed assets accounting ii. Advanced excel skills iii. Knowledge of payroll related legislation for all States throughout Australia iv. Excellent attention to detail v. Superior time management skills and ability to meet deadlines vi. Excellent oral and written communication skills vii. Customer service focused viii. Good team player. Desirable Skills and Experience i. Part qualified accounting designation (CPA, CA etc.) ii. ADP Payforce experience iii. Ichris Payroll system experience iv. Relevant educational industry experience, particularly with the tertiary sector or with entities providing services to international students v. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Payroll / Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for the provision of highest quality accounting services to support the Finance Shared Services function of the Australasia region of Navitas around the General Ledger reporting and process championing for Fixed Assets and Payroll General Ledger (i.e. the GL end of the cycle post payroll processing) cycles. 2.

Key Result Areas:

In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. vii. viii.

Managing the interface of payroll data from the Group Payroll system into the GL for FSSA serviced entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy Ensuring the integrity, preparation and distribution of monthly payroll GL reports to businesses Explaining key variances against Budget for payroll as appropriate Ensure accurate and timely cross-charging and reporting of the employee share plan (ESP/ESOP) as advised by the Remuneration & Benefits Manager Preparation of PAYG and Payroll Tax returns for the serviced Navitas Group entities on a monthly basis Assisting Finance and Payroll staff with more complicated payroll calculations and queries like long service leave etc. EOFY payroll related reconciliations Timely and accurate preparation of all payroll and fixed asset related balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned entities using the Blackline system

Championing the fixed asset cycle to ensure adherence to Group Policies and Procedures relating to fixed assets across FSSA serviced entities Processing of all fixed asset entries in the Fixed Asset Registers and GL for FSSA serviced entities on a timely basis, including acquisition, depreciation and disposal as well as maintaining both the tax and book fixed asset registers Co-ordinate the annual fixed asset inventory physical verification exercise across all FSSA serviced entities in Q4 each year, ensuring issues are resolved and processed before year end Assistance with the audit queries Preparation of ad hoc management reports Involvement in ad hoc projects

High Standard of Administrative Services In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Provide administrative support to the Payroll, Finance and Human Resources functions, including data analysis, and other ancillary clerical tasks relating to payroll as required. Contributes to the highest standard of professional staff In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Participate in and contribute to professional development programs ii. Implement and model high standards of work performance iii. Provide high quality customer service iv. Employ high quality interpersonal and communication skills at all times v. Ensure the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality are maintained. Contributes to the professional standing of the FSSA as a centre of excellence In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff across the Navitas Group ii. Complete assigned tasks in accordance with agreed deadlines Contributes to the most effective and efficient management of resources In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Maintain accurate manual and computerised records and systems in the areas of payroll GL and fixed assets as required by the Navitas Group ii. Actively participating in effective communication practices.

Client Privacy In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Ensure privacy regulations are understood and implemented ii. Ensure client records and personal information is stored securely according to the Navitas Group’s policies Occupational Health and Safety In consultation with the Director of Finance Shared Services Australasia and the Senior / Tax Accountant: i. Take reasonable care for the health and safety of staff ii. Cooperate as far as needed to enable the Navitas Unit to comply with regulations involving health, safety and welfare.
