Event and Membership Coordinator CEO

The Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) is a non-profit membership organization that focuses on strengthening member business and stimulating regional prosperity. The MACC is currently seeking an independent, self-motived person to serve in a sales and event coordinator position within the organization. The primary function of the position is to maintain and grow business partnerships through membership, developing and promoting events. As an employee of the MACC, this position will work directly with our MACC team to promote the mission of the organization. The following statements are intended to describe the general nature of the position and level of work to be performed. Please note that these statements are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, skills, and responsibilities of the position. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities:  Plan, promote and execute events  Plan, promote and execute member programs  Maintain and grow membership  Manage membership database  Develop and foster relationships with business and community partners  Provide general administrative support  Guide seasonal interns and countless supporting volunteers  Support marketing efforts including social media, ongoing website maintenance, newsletters, email blasts, brochures, and other  Serve as an ambassador for the Chamber in the community  Perform other duties assigned by the CEO and the MACC  Event Planning MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  Associate’s degree preferred. Graduation from an accredited educational institution with a focus in Marketing or related field and at least 2 years of progressive marketing or sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience  Time management and organizational skills, including establishing priorities and meeting deadlines  Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing  Ability to format, evaluate, and edit content and structure of a variety of written materials in a timely manner  Experience in project and financial management  Experience in Event Planning  Professional demeanor with an positive attitude  Strong customer service and sales focus with relationship-building abilities  Affinity for working with volunteer leaders and committees

 

Knowledge of and the ability to follow the organization’s by-laws and rules Driver’s License and reliable transportation
