Stay Connected to the Church Family We are excited to announce our new Youth Ministry Director: Daniel Lee. Dan has served as Associate Pastor and Youth Director of Christ UMC in Rockford since 2018. He graduated in 2012 with a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and is married to Stacey. They have a goldendoodle named Brighton. In his free-time, Daniel likes to play basketball, practice pottery art known as Kintsugi, and travel to Japan. Be sure to tune in to next week’s service on April 26, where Dan will be introducing himself to us. Worship Talk: Sundays, at 10:15 a.m. live via Zoom. Are you loving Gary's online worship service but missing the community connection after? (You know, that time when we sip coffee and discuss the service.) We're missing it too. Offered via Zoom, this virtual coffee hour includes a facilitated conversation with Rev. JoAnne Chase about the morning's service. We'll talk sermon. We'll talk music. We'll talk worship. So grab your coffee, click on the meeting link (right beneath the worship service at garychurch.org), and join in. Gary Cares Teams: We are continuing to make calls to our church family. If you would like to make calls, or if you are in need of help, complete the Gary Cares form.

Stay Connected to the Mission Local Ministry Partners: • “Separate but Together” CROP Walk: Sun., May 3, 1 p.m. Walk anywhere and any distance, but let’s all walk at the same time—and for the same cause—raising funds to fight hunger. Register to walk and donate at the CROP Walk website. • Community Garden: Help provide fresh produce to local food banks through our garden located at Winfield Community UMC. Garden activities range from watering, weeding, grass mowing, pruning, harvesting, and delivery to food banks. All activities can be done on your own time using “social distancing” principles. Schedule the day(s) and times of your choice for any task you choose throughout the summer. Contact Fred Wayland through the Church Office. • People’s Resource Center: The food pantry remains open with a pick-up service of pre-packed food bags. Currently, PRC is in need of 100 homemade cloth face masks a week for their volunteers. If you are able to provide masks, contact Amy Zurita at [email protected]. Monetary donations are most helpful for them to be able to continue with their food pick up service and can be made at peoplesrc.org. • PADS: Currently the PADS organization is identifying alternative ways to serve homeless clients. You can help by donating from the list of essential items found on their website. https://dupagepads.org/covid-19/ Your tithes and offerings: It is crucial that we continue our mission and ministry, and now more than ever, we need your help. Here are three ways to continue your tithes and offerings. • Online: Make a regular or one-time gift at www.garychurch.org/giving. • Text-to-Give: Text 844.928.1220 on a cell phone. Enter a dollar amount followed by the word “GARY” and follow the instructions. • Checks: Mail a check to Gary Church, 224 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
