IT’S MWSU FOOTBALL SUNDAY This morning we welcome the Missouri Western State University Football Team, their coaches, and families to Grace. Our Missouri Western guests and all college students are invited to stay and have lunch with our student ministry staff in the Chapel after the 9:30 service.

SUNDAY EVENINGS AT GRACE Tonight, we begin another 6-week DVD series by Jim Cymbala: “When God’s People Pray.” When God’s people are filled with His Spirit, they will engage in serious prayer! We invite you to join this study and get serious about prayer.

BLOOD DRIVE TOMORROW St. Joseph is currently experiencing a blood shortage and we encourage you to sign-up and come give blood at Grace anytime tomorrow between 12:00 and 6:00pm. To donate you must be at least 16 years of age, in good health, and weight at 110 pounds or more. All presenting donors will receive a pair of eclipse viewing glasses!

IT’S THE 33RD ANNIVERSARYOF GRACE EVANGELICAL CHURCH! We are happy to have you worship with us today!

This Saturday, August 19th, from 8:00am to 3:00pm at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, men and young men are invited to come together for worship, instruction, and fellowship. The cost is $15 per person, (pay at the event) with lunch included. Our Grace Men’s Ministry will not hold a fellowship breakfast this month, but instead, they encourage men to attend this conference. Register online at mccarthybaptist.org/mensconference.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY .ING EVENT Saturday, August 26th, 10:00 – 11:30am: Join the ladies of Grace for Organiz.ING - "Keeping calm through chaos." Is your life hectic with kids, schedules, and events? Our guest speaker, Dr. Jennifer Patterson, will share tips and strategies for staying organized throughout the busyness of life. A light breakfast will be served, and childcare will be provided, but you must sign-up for childcare at the church information desk by next Sunday, August 20th.

MOONLIGHT 5K RUN AND FUN WALK We have changed the date of our annual “Moonlight 5K Run and Fun Walk.” Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 23rd, at 7:00pm, and join us in this benefit event. More details on registration, sponsorships, and volunteer support will be coming soon. Online registration is open at iamathlete.com.

INDIA MISSION TRIP A mission trip to Puttar, India, is being planned for January 2018. The tentative dates are Thursday, January 18th, through Sunday, January 28th. The signup list and applications for this mission trip are available at the Information Desk. For more details, please talk with Gary Reynolds.

RESET YOUTH MINSITRY CALENDAR Pastor Nick has put together a calendar of activities and events for the first semester of school for our Reset Youth (7th-12th grades). Parents and students are encouraged to pick one up at the Information Desk and stay informed. Please note that the first activity on the calendar is an “End of Summer” Pool Party at Lipira’s that begins at 2:00pm TODAY!

CCA CONFERENCE COMING IN SEPTEMBER We are excited to be the host church for the Calvary Chapel Association Heartland Regional Pastors and Leaders Conference being held on September 8th & 9th. The conference will begin Friday afternoon and run through Saturday afternoon. Pastors and leaders from a number of Calvary Chapel churches across the Midwest will be attending. Conference speakers are Pastor Sandy Adams with Calvary Chapel Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Pastor Don McClure with Calvary Way, California. Daytime sessions are directed toward those who hold positions of service and leadership in the church, but we are inviting the entire congregation to join the conference on Friday night. The evening session will begin at 5:00pm with a meal featuring Spanky’s BBQ. Worship will follow at 6:30pm and Pastor Adams will speak at 7:00. We ask that you please sign up at the Information Center if you plan to come for the meal. The conference officially concludes at 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon, but we have invited Pastor McClure to stay for the weekend and share with our congregation. He will be speaking at a 6:00 service on Saturday evening, and again at our regular Sunday morning worship services on September 10th. Mark your calendar now and come share in this anointed time of fellowship and teaching. This 2017 conference replaces our annual Fall Deeper Life Conference so don’t miss it!
