Hamleys Flyers Guide - Mini Drone Charging

*BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERCHARGE [ e.g. DO NOT leave charging overnight! ]* Should ONLY charge for 30 min, providing you with flying time of 12-15 min. Let the drone battery die completely before charging again. Use USB charging cable [ONLY use the correct cable]. You can plug the USB cable provided into a computer, laptop, playstation or xbox but avoid phone chargers! This can help you avoid any issues internationally with different cables and plug-ins.

Lights -

If lights brakes you can still fly your drone, lights only indicate the direction.

Propellers/ Blades -

If the propellers are not moving : o Remove the blade and check if a hair is stuck on the motor pin or blow to remove any dust, when done pop the propeller back onto the motor pin Orange blades should be at the front and the black blades at the back It is not just a case of replacing an orange blade with an orange one, or a black blade with a black one. You need to make sure you use the correct angle. See below: the angles are indicated with red arrows. FRONT

Trimming (flying the drone): This must be done before the first flight. The Mini Drone has an auto trim function which should be explained in the instructions that come with the drone. The following are the instructions: -

On the top left side of the controller there is a button (speed button) press it till it beeps four times. Then hold both controller sticks in a bottom left position until the lights on the drone flash. (Drone has to be on during this process). Once the lights stop flashing, the drone should be calibrated and ready to fly. Always put it back to speed 1 before you fly. If this doesn’t work, look at the blades spinning and check if any are moving noticeably slower. If that is the case there can be an issue with the motor and we can assist you with an exchange or a refund.

If you would like to do the trimming manually the following are the instructions: -

When flying and the drone is leaning more to the left to correct press the right trim button, which trims it to the right and adjusts the drone. When flying and the drone is leaning more to the right to correct press the left trim button, which trims it to the left and adjusts the drone. When flying and the drone is leaning more backwards to correct press the forward trim button, which trims it forwards and adjusts the drone. When flying and the drone is leaning more forwards to correct press the backwards trim button, which trims it backwards and adjusts the drone.

FINAL flying instructions : Left stick on the remote –Controls height (up and down), and spins right and left Right stick on the remote– Direction Left and Right The left stick should mainly be placed in the middle and as it is very sensitive use only small micro movements.
