A native of Homer, LA, he was the son of the late Wesley Carlis and Ouida Lynch Blackwell. He was a U S Air Force veteran and worked as a Computer Technician at AEDC. He was instrumental in wind tunnel and space shuttle tile testing research. He also loved building electronic equipment. He would “think it up and then build it”. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed going to auto races. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Odessa Taylor Blackwell; brother, Carlis Dale Blackwell; sister, Faith Yvonne Hughes; and great grandchild, Kaylee Nicole Blackwell. McAdams has also managed the Coffee County Funeral Chapel since 2016 and will continue in that role, managing both locations. A Coffee County native and graduate of Coffee County Central High School, McAdams started her career in funeral service at Coffee County Funeral Chapel in 2007 while attending the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science. After obtaining an Associates degree of Applied Science and Funeral Service in 2009, she worked in Knoxville, Tennessee in a variety of roles in the funeral industry before returning to Manchester in 2015. She is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and pre-need agent in the state of Tennessee. Committed to the community, she is a member of the Manchester Rotary Club, a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, a volunteer for Coffee County's CEO (Creating Educational Opportunities) program, and founder of Coffee County Young Professionals Club. She and her husband Bryan reside in Coffee County with their two daughters, Brylyn Kate and Madison Grace. Bryan is Manager/Partner of Tullahoma Funeral Home.
