We need your help with Hypothermia! Hypothermia Week is December 24, 2017, through December 31, 2017. Prince of Peace has been partnering with FACETS to serve our homeless neighbors for more than 8 years. Each year we open our church home for one week, to those who need a warm, safe place to sleep. The shelter opens at 5:00 pm each evening. Guests receive a hot meal prepared by our Meal Teams and enjoy fellowship with our members. We also provide breakfast the next morning and a sack lunch to go. The shelter closes at 7:30 am each morning. We typically serve over 250 guests throughout the week. (This year we will allow guests to stay through Christmas Day)

Each day has four shifts: Shift 1 - 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Shift 2 - 8:00 pm to 12:00 pm Shift 3 - 12:00 pm to 4:30 am Shift 4 - 4:30 am to 7:30 am Meal Prep Teams: The meal prep teams are small groups that come together to select, shop and prepare either dinner or breakfast. Youth Volunteer Teams: Our youth teams support the Sunday Set up and daily cleaning of the fellowship hall and sleeping rooms. Food Donations: The week depends on the generosity of those who shop for and donate the many food items needed to serve our guests. Choose a few or as many items on the list and deliver on the date noted. Team Leaders: Team Leaders serve as the PoP point of contact during the shift. A team leader is responsible for answer guest and volunteer questions, coordinating volunteer activities, and supporting the FACETS team. A team leader is asked to sign up for three shifts throughout the week. Sign up for shifts/donations at: www.TimeToSignUp.com/POPLC
