I. THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD.



A. The Testimony of Scripture “Take...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” “All Scripture is God-breathed.”

1 Peter 1:23, James 1:18

v. 17b 2 Timothy 3:16a

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18

B. The Testimony of the Apostles. “What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision? Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.” Romans 3:1-2 (NIV) “Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.” 2 Timothy 1:14 (NASB)
