Throughout various industries, companies are becoming more proactive and changing their perceptions on the achievement of Digital Manufacturing. No longer are manufacturers viewing the path to digitalization as a luxury only for "large-scale" companies or for "companies that can afford it." Rather, with the rapid expansion of digitalization offerings and smart product markets, manufacturers are coming to the realization that their own Digital Enterprise is within reach. While the desire is there, many have no idea where or how to begin their journeys towards digital transformation. It is often difficult to understand what systems should be put in place, what priorities should be, and if such systems will really help drive business value in line with a company’s short and long-term visions. To overcome these challenges, Engineering USA has developed a methodology to help companies trying to navigate the digital landscape across different systems, business units and technologies. Expert Andrea Salerno will share this approach and focus on 4 pillars: multiple business group evaluation, cross-system review, end-to-end process review, and the creation of a Software Maturity Model. By understanding that there is not just one path that defines Industry 4.0 success and that each company’s journey is unique, manufacturers can start to reconsider their business models and integrate digital technologies into their operations. In this session, we will highlight real customer maturity models delivered to two very different manufacturers as examples. The session will end with an open discussion about the challenges you are facing in your own digital journey.
